Interesting in tapping a lot of M2.5 in 2024 alloy details - is it possible with they standart BT30 spindle? Anybody knows?

    Thanks. Val.

Anybody who has questions about the Skyfire CNC machines, feel free to contact me at [email protected] or [email protected]. We are the importer and distributor for the USA and other countries without official dealers.
Skyfire CNC in China is the factory and they are quite busy and do not respond to emails very well, let me know if you have any questions or need information about pricing and I will get you going.

Jan, I will email you shortly. I am interested in an SVM-2VMC Mini Industrial w/ 4th axis and tool changer. I assume that comes with the industrial controller or is that an option?

    Re: Skyfire CNC owners?

Hi guys I have some good news for you. The G95 code does work in the Skyfire VMC2 with the EC200 VFD controller. I've tried it at 200, 300, and 400 RPMs while tapping a 1/4"-20 thread and using a Feed rate of .050" F.050 It cut perfectly at all RPMs without changing the Feedrate. Just make sure if you use the G95 before the M29 line of code that you do a G94 after the G80 so it goes back to ipm (inches per minute) mode. G95 is inches per rev (ipr). It will ruin your day if you don't cancel it after tapping. Here's a sample.

Nice, thanks for the heads up. I hope I won't be waiting too much longer for mine.

How fast does it stop and reverse? Is there much overshoot or all nice and tight?

It seems nice and tight but I do not have anything to compare it to. I'm happy.

Seems like most of the machines hitting the US aren't working properly. At this point I wouldn't want my cash floating around China for a year to get something that doesn't work new from the factory

Best put your cash in a tin box under the bed and hope the next POTUS doesn't foul up the economy and put a machine from a foreign builder out of your reach.

    Where's your sources for that?

Every owner I've seen seems to be perfectly happy with their machine?

And the lead time is less than half of that. Closer to a quarter, sometimes quicker depending on spec.

And it's still probably the newest skyfire machine that exists

Pristine.........I get my kicks from watching the program make the wheels go round as I want it.........but I'm getting some ideas that might generate a rush of blood to cerebellum and make me commit it to a cutting exercise.

    Hi SVM2L owners,

Can you recommend how much room to leave behind and to the right of the machine for maintenance? I need to figure out how the SVM2L will fit in the shop and space it tight. I probably won't need to use the door on the right of the machine.

    Thanks, Nick

OK the side doors when swung open are 20 inches out from the side of the machine. The back of the machine is up to you wether you have room to pull it forward to take the back cover off to replace the pump if you would ever need to. If your going to bolt it down then you'll need at least 18 inches I think to work back there. Or you could crawl in from the front door after you remove the chip tray.

As a side note Jason did get the rigid tapping fixed on our machines with the VFD settings. A couple settings where wrong and he is going to post on the Skyfire group Facebook page. I'll probably post them here too.

    Re: Skyfire CNC owners?

Thanks for the info, I will give it 18" clearance behind the machine. From what I have seen, I will probably replace the pump on day 1 with a higher flow model. Right before using up a tube or 2 of silicone

    Looks great,

I was told Jan Bos is the USA distributor but it sounds more like importer than distributor.. I had found Skyfire on Alibaba and once inquired of course the price had tripled. I’m surprised the machine is only 1400-1500lbs my bench mill is just under 1300lbs without the CNC conversion, upgraded motors, etc... I’d like to find someone near a Denver with one of these I can see function to see if it’s something I’d interest in. I really like the automatecnc vmc which is $26,000 and 1000ipm with a nice amount of table travel, hiwin ways etc.., have you had an opportunity to really work this yet?
