Would be grateful if anyone has an idea or come across a situation like ours.
Our Suregrave Rotation S has been giving us a fair bit of trouble over the last 6 months. We have been getting a groaning noise from the X axis which over time gets louder and eventually starts to what seems to jam and shudder until it stops completely. We sent off the controller and found out the powerboard needed replacing. When it came back it was running like a new machine, totally silent again. Within a couple of weeks the groaning was back and same symptoms again, with the added problem of going left instead of right and vice versa until it stopped completely.
We sent the control boards to a repair centre who repaired the problem and once again machine was running smoothly.
Few weeks have gone by and once again its groaning, getting louder by the day.
We have swapped steppers from Z axis to the X, new cable on X axis. All rails and bearings are running smoothly etc.
Just running out ideas of what's causing this failure
