Hi all,
I've spent several hours now looking for a simple affordable off-the-shelf solution for an actuated chuck/collet that can be opened/closed, e.g. via an Arduino (air-powered?), to be used on a lathe-like contraption (actually, a carbon fiber winder). The jaws (3-4) would need to have a range to accommodate parts between 1/4" and 1/2". The parts I will spin are lightweight (plastic, an ounce max), so no need for heavy duty/high precision/high end materials. I have a Sherline with a turntable, so I can make simple adapters if needed. If I had a good design in front of me, I could even settle for a 3D printed part (I have a makerbot).
Thank you in advance!
