    VCarve Post Processor

    G'day all,

I'm runing a post processor (Imperial) that I got from K-Strauss (thanks Ken) and it works fine.

I would like to run my 1100 (&P/P) in Metric, but still have the coolant option.

I'm still leaning and don't know where to edit the file for this.

If someone can edit the files I've attached, I'd really appreciate it.

Just one question ..... does it mean that the Post Processor will issue the G21 and automatically put the machine into Metric?

    Thanks for your help

    Re: VCarve Post Processor

I just did a quick comparison between the original Vectric MM and Inch posts and it appears that the differences are trivial:
Change POST_NAME value (you can't have two posts with the same name)
Change UNITS = "inches" to UNITS = "MM"
Change the G20 to G21 in the begin HEADER section

As an aside, I have modified my earlier post to accommodate drag engraving since setting the spindle speed to zero caused an error in PP. Coolant is also automatically disabled when drag engraving. My updated post now creates files with an extension of .nc rather than .txt. I have attached the revised version. It will appear in your list of available posts as "xxPathPilot ATC/Arcs/Coolant (*.nc)" which you may want to change.

Oops! This forum didn't like my .pp file name. Hopefully this time will work better. You'll have to rename the .txt to .pp to use the post.

The TestPost.txt file is the one with the drag engraving changes.

    Thanks for the info, mate.

I won't be using the drag engraving, so I'll just modify the file that you previously sent me and give it a try.
