Can't get a straight answer on this vise. TTC Super Precision Toolmakers Vise

Is this a machining vise or a drill press vise? Trying to figure out if it will hold up to cnc machining, with the knurled thumb screw it makes me question if it has the clamping strength.

That is more of a grinding vise than anything else. You would probably get some pretty serious jaw lift with anything but the lightest cuts.
