It works in any machine.
Put cylinder on rotating element (precise cylinder ,d fix it if necessary) touch it with dial gauge perpenicular to cylinder axis and rotate. The cylinder will be in therotation center when gauge's hand won't move while rotating,
Then U can find axis of cylinder to know where is the axis of rotation.

If U have DMG kinematic setter and progrm cycle for it
It just looks dificult, but if U try it's piece of cake, maybe two pieces

You need calibrated probe and 3DQuickset (magnetic stand+ball)
