Hope this isn't in the wrong spot...a year or so ago I was researching vacuum hold downs for a 4'x8' Cnc. There was a company that made a vacuum machine for the somewhat diy'er. Black box I believe it was. I can't find it anymore? Sound familiar to anyone? I thought I'd seen someone use it on a pro 4896?

And if you really wanted to go down the DIY route you could buy the vac motors and make your own black box. Realize though that this will require lots of research on your part to figure out how to build the box to get good performance and not burn up your motors. Much easier to just buy the Black Box. The Lighthouse 7123 is the most popular one. And make sure to buy the gaskets. I've also seen people use the motor with overdrive listed at the bottom of the page.
