    Starting Pro4848 - Question about 80/20

Im currently building the base of the Pro4848. I was wondering how precise should i square it. From corner to corner? Looking for tips and tricks to get it the best i can. Great machine, im upgrading from a Solsylva 2448(wood) so im loving it.

    Hi Mokra,

That is a great question, we would suggest that you try to square the base to within about 1/16" when measuring diagonally. Using homing switches will allow you to auto square the gantry during the homing sequence, which will remove any small amount of variance. Auto squaring the gantry and surfacing your spoilboard will insure you have a level and square machining surface even if your base is slightly out of square.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
