Hi everyone,

So, I know how to use mcx9 for milling pretty decently. I need to learn how to program lathes. Does anyone have videos I can use to learn from? Or know of a good book I can buy to get a good starting point.

You tube has hours of videos that will get you started and then some. I am almost mill exclusive but I have been to several classes and watch hours of youtube on both mill and lathe so if you got the mill down lathe should come to you pretty quickly.

Hi, try Vtpros. They have good videos tutorials for Mastercam lathe.

Mastercam lathe is stupid easy to learn as far as straight up two axis (x and z) turning. you just need to turn on lathe diameter x+ z+ setting , then draw the part and toolpath it just like the milling. i swear, you will have little trouble. the hardest part is setting the stock up which is hard for me to explain right here, and now. give it a shot and if you need help, i'll try to send you some screen shots,or a video.
