    Preferred stepper motor shaft diameter

    Is there a preferred shaft diameter. I have choices of 1/4 and 3/8 for a 570oz.in Nema 23.

    Preference would be either additional strength or to suit available couplings, 3/8 being around 10mm would be stronger and 6mm posdsibly more common for cheaper coupling.
