I purchased a ddcm6v5 a while back without really looking into it too well. i as hoping to be able to use my laptop to control my 3x2router. bad idea, as a controller it was impossible to find quality documentation on, came with pirated mach, trojaned dll, jogging was horribly latent, stepper movement seemed smooth but was erratic and missing more steps than a drunk sailor.. So i was hoping i could use it on my 32bit win7 machine along with the parralell BoB to give me the extra inputs id like to have. (index, encoder, start, pause, reset) and if possible use the three outputs to run SSR for vacuum, coolant, spindle light. I did give it a quick try with mach but got nowhere (possibly due to a port conflict)? Would i want to choose the parallell port as primary then enable the usb plugin.? I have tried using arduino/modbus for my inputs but i cant seem to completely wrap my head aroudn the registers and mach brain. i briefly had modbus with a jog speed pot and reset button working with a (script?) i found on the internet written by someoen else but i cannot seem to find it again. anyways, thanks for reading
