    Zeroing a tool

Kind of a newbie question here - when zeroing a 2 flute bit to 0,0 does it zero to the center of the bit or to the side of the bit?

The zero is the centre of the spindle so centre of the bit.

    ADam,
Zero is to the center of the spindle. Well that and the end of the tool for Z. Your controller should have tables for tool diameter, if not manual intervention may be required.
