I made it so it will cut in one piece. I didn't add the wording.

It will still need to be cleaned up some. When I make DXFs that I'm getting paid for I make sure they are perfect. Free ones I leave cleanup to whoever downloads it.

Thank you so very much. This is awesome. What do you normally charge for something like this if i have something in the future?

Inkscape is still free.... Just sayin'. Create a new doc, import your bitmap, use the bmp to path feature, clean up nodes, save as dxf.

I just started messing around with inkscape. Everything that i have done in the past has been with AutoCAD LT. But thank you, i will keep practicing.

    http://wiki.imal.org/howto/inkscape-and-lasercutter

This is for laser cutters, but it helped me with some annoyances I found when first starting to use Inkscape. Keeping stroke widths locked, default page, etc etc. remember to select all your objects and convert to path before saving as dxf since non path items won't be saved (the magically disappearing circle problem). Obviously a proper CAD program is better, but I tend to wing it pretty well with Inkscape.

For one this one I would have charged $20 and put in the Chevelle text at the bottom and added the 67 with a circle.

I use Corel to make files and don't use trace features. Some people love them but as you well know they don't work for every file. I use the beizer tool and draw each and every node.

Trace programs do work on some files but if you ever find yourself in need of DXF help, just email me at [email protected]. I will give you a price quote to have the file made.

I typically charge $40-70 for portraits, $10 for small jobs, $20-30 for most badges (making state seals is the hardest part). But yeah, if you ever need a file, just email me. I can usually have them back to you the same day and I take Paypal.

You can check out my website and see some other ones I made. There are a lot more pictures on my facebook page. Still getting the .com set up.
