    No jogging

    Hi
I have a cnczone china 6040 router with a usb controller.
    I purchased mach3
I installed mach3 and shut down the laptop (windows 7)
Started the laptop again and opened mach3
    Clicked on the reset button
    Set the units
Picked the pins and ports but found nothing there for the usb controller
    Tried jogging but nothing
It is like the drivers are not installed but when I use the software that came with the router for the usb controller it jogs and runs a gcode perfectly

What have I not done yet
    Thanks Ji

So if it runs perfectly with the software it came with, what do you need Mach3 for?

You will need to enable the driver plugin in Mach3 all instructions will be in Mach3 manuals and the documents you have for the usb breakout board assuming the breakout board is even compatible with mach3 and not on of the chinese favourite usbcnc knock offs!

    Hi
The software that came with the router is basic
When I import a dxf file to get it to calculate the gcode it follows the lines with the centre of the tool so I have to offset all the lines in the drawing package to correct this also I can not place the part dxf file where I want it I have to move it in the drawing package till it is on the router millable area

The manual I printed yesterday that came with my mach3 software talks about the printer ports and pins and states if you have a usb controller skip this but it never talks about how to bring it all together

It more than likely is a copy of a usb controller made some where else
    Thanks Ji

Mach3 isn't the solution to your problem. What you need is a CAM program, that can generate toolpaths from your DXF files and write a G-code file your control software can execute. Mach3 is a machine control program, not a CAM program. It does have a rudimentary CAM function (LazyCAM) but it's no better than the program you've got, unless you spend extra money for the "Pro" version. Here's someone on this forum who has Mach3, and is struggling with the same problem as you: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/mach-m...side-line.html
