I am looking for a small cnc desk top lathe for some small parts I want to manufacture. I will be machining soft materials. What do you guy recommend and the price point I am looking at?

Sherline makes some nice little CNC lathes; they come with a wide range of accessories too. They're made to high standards here in the USA, and customers are generally pretty happy with them. The default control system is LinuxCNC, but you can convert them to run under Mach3 if you want. We're distributors for them, and can get you a good deal. Prices start at about $1450 for a CNC-equipped #4100 model.
It really depends on the amount of work you want to get done and the extent of how fast you want to do it. Do you need a tailstock? Gang tooling? Budget? You may be well off doing a small benchtop lathe conversion yourself. There's also a complete 3D printable Taig CNC conversion up on Thingiverse.com > Clamp-On CNC for Taig Lathe by NickAmes - Thingiverse I'd be happy to print/machine those components for you. They also have a off-the-shelf cnc option. Tiagturn 2000 I believe > Taig Tools - Desktop Milling Machines and Lathes.
Al, I am surprised you dont have one.
All of those BobCad videos I have watched and even asked questions. I figured you had the world at your disposal ;-)

I could sell you a Taig CNC lathe as well, but they cost more. The Taigturn 2000 lists for $2995, although I can do a little better on the price. These CNC lathes come with Mach3, so you wouldn't have to deal with Linux, and threading is done electronically, so you don't need to change gears for that.
I have access to all kinds of things.... I just purchased a new town home and I want something small for the garage. The taig setup looks good, just not sure yet.... maybe an old pro light ..... it's small work I am after. Drip tips for vaping mods. They are under 1 inch square. Soft materials, oder turn, drill center hole, Id profile back shoulder and groove part off.
It would be nice to have a bar pull so I can run a group unattended
Maybe need to do some id threads.
It would be nice if it was enclosed.
Any other options you guys could think of?

Top-tech makes a small unit.

you can find the old emco compact 5's fairly easily still. you could probably pick one up super cheap that just needs a mach3 retrofit. Some of them even come with a cute little 3 position auto tool changer.
Al,
Take a look at the Tormach 15L CNC lathe if you have some money to spend.
Tormach 15L Slant-PROâ„¢ CNC Lathe | Tormach Inc. providers of personal small CNC machines, CNC tooling, and many more CNC items.
There is a lot of discussion on it in the Tormach section here.
