930 cpu interrupt when transferring pc -> cnc via rs232

This has happened twice in a short period of time in the exact same situation. When I send a program from PC to the CNC via RS232, the file transfer fails and the control (Fanuc 18i-T) goes into a 930 CPU Interrupt error screen. Any ideas what is causing this? After restarting the control and clearing memory, re-transferring the same program succeeds. Memory failing?

If you use for link the office computer that reason of this error can be hindrance voltage from computer. The capacitive filter of the hindrances PC creates the variable voltage to contacts of RS232C connecting. The Interfaces RS232C have not a galvanic uncoupling. Hereinafter it can destroy your interfaces.

I will replace the cable and check the voltages. The cable could have taken some damage in our hostile environment. Thanks for the reply.
