Was wondering if this would be possible on a lathe.
Using a G71 canned cycle type 2 with cutter comp on G42?
Simple thread relief undercut on od of part. \____/ <<<Somewhat how the geometry is.

Now would the control know to compensate on the right side of this undercut or would it leave it wider since I am using G42?
I've been meaning to try this just haven't had the time. I am going to program the undercut with CAM software and run the CAM program after I manually program this on the control to see if I get the same result. I would just like to know if anyone on here has done this before or tried it. If possible maybe even give some tips.
