LVD Orion 4Kw?? Has anybody got one??

Please help!! We are a medium size fabrication company based in aryshire, Scotland. We have recently purchased a 4Kw Oroin as cheap way of testing the water with LVD lasers as we currently run trumpf's.
However we are finding we are going through an incredible amount of len's. LVD tell us this is not normal but can not solve the problem!!
Has anybody else got a 4Kw Orion and had any problems with it??

    two cents of thought,

Do you cut the same material as the trumpf?

Is the power for both machine is the same? eg.4kw on lvd and 4kw on trumpf

If the material is the same and also the laser power is the same you definately have a problem on the lvd machine.

I presume you are refering to the cutting lens. Is the lens are original part from lvd or "so call" OEM parts?

The problem only seems to occur when using the 7.5" lens.
More often than not all our 4Kw's are running the same jobs from week to week so there is no significant variation in materials.

My concerns are that the Orion was originally designed as a 2.5Kw machine and we seem to be the only people to have this model as a 4Kw.
Im worried that the problem is due to the design of the machine as we mostly run 12.5mm to 20mm m/s plate on it, which it would not normally be running as a 2.5Kw.

Since you are using almost full power all the time, it is advise to clean your cutting lens regularly.

Normally how's the lens fail? Is there dirt at the bottom of the lens or oil on the lens or exploded?

Is it possible to post a few pictures of faulty lens. Maybe there is some clue from the pictures.

The damge is on the under side of the lens. We believe it is splatter from the pierces blowing back up the nozzle.
We have checked all t-table parameters (Z-hight, gas pressure e.c.t) but can not solve the problem
I will try and get a photo posted a.s.a.p.
