Hello everyone, I am a newbie in the forum and in laser cutting as well.

I recently bought in Amazon a 60w Chinese laser cutting machine with a working area of 500x700mm. It worked properly for the first non continuous 4 hours. Yesterday I was cutting some pieces and after 30min working it suddenly turned off.
I checked the emergency stop button and it was on the correct position.
Checked that the power cord was working right.
Checked all the connections.
Maybe it is the power supply?
May it be a fuse?
How can I test the power supply? Can any of you tell me where are the fuses in this machine so I can check them?

I am an architect with little knowledge in electrical issues.

Keep in mind that these units have a number of safeguards like door, water flow, water temperature. Maybe the manual would help. Check easy stuff before messing with electronics.

Thanks for the help. The manual didn't help. I checked everything and discovered that the power switch was malfunctioning. Changed it and solved the issue.

I think there is a problem in the main fuse.

check the place that you plug the main electric cable to your laser .

there is a fuse under that connection .

check that fuse .

Yes. It was the fuse where the power cord connects into the machine. After several trial & errors, I plugged every other thing separately from the machine. changed most of the wires with ones with higher capacity. The water pump, air pump and air extractor are connected in a voltage regulator.

My machine is having the same problem, first it was the fuse. It was working fine. Then it went off again! I checked the fuse and in was still good. I don't know what it could be or how to check it. does anyone know what it could be? I could use picture too. Need Help! (flame2)

Hi Angelina,

The problem with your laser not turning on can only be traced to the power supply/switch panel of your laser. Probably something is cut, spoilt or burnt on it.

I'd suggest you call in an electrician to help you check and restore and spoilt part.

However, of you're familiar with electrical troubleshooting, check the power supply/switch panel and see if there's anything cut.

From my experience, I'll predict that it's probably the switch that melted since you've confirmed it's not the fuse.
