Hi everyone i have a cnc im building all metal frame metal everything and im having a few questions about grounding it properly.

I have 3 core shielded wire i was going to sue for the spindle but that doesn't include a ground.

My question is if the frame of the machine is ground then since the spindle chassis is touching the machine will it be ground or do i need to run a separate line from my spindle casing to the inverter ground?

if so can i run a separate wire from ground to spindle chassis or does it need to be inside the shielding for RF noise problems/stepping issues?

The spindle is a Chinese spindle and the inverter is a huanyang 2.2kw

The best is if u use a shielded wire cable , and put ground on spindle case .

So I should get 4 core shielded instead of the 3 core shielded i have? I know it's the best way but just wanted to see if I could use what i have instead of buying another one

Isn't that technically a ground loop so there can be a chance of current flowing through the shield which is undesirable?

To properly shield don't you just ground at driver end then shielding works but its not used for grounding as such like a ground wire
