Not really unless it was attached to a machine with an hour meter and even in that case the meter could have been changed. The best thing to do is carefully check the bearings, by rotating the unit and listening carefully and even that is not a guarantee. Then you need to hook it up to a VFD and run it with coolant at various RPMS starting at 6000 RPM and working up to the max speed most are 24,000 RPM. If you hear no bearing noise and everything sounds smooth you are probably safe.
