Hey

I have programmed in a few custom messages in our programs. The issue is that when the message comes up to give the operator information the indicator light stays green. I would like the yellow indicator light to come on to inform the operator that the machine is sitting idle waiting for them. 1 program has a message right at the start of to ask if they are sure they do not need to run a custom macro to start. Some operators hit start and walk away while machine sits idle. Until they realize it isn't making any parts we do nothing but lose money!!!! Hoping there is a parameter that i cannot find that will enable this.

If you use variable #3000, the machine will actually alarm. This will cause the machine to most likely throw a different light. With this variable though, it must be cleared with the Reset button.

The stack lights are programmed in the ladder. What controller do you have?

I have thought about this (#3000) but if the alarm is cleared with the reset it will just come backup again when the machine is restarted.

Controller is Fanuc 18i

I do seem to have 1 machine that the light stack shuts off and has nothing on when the message is up. Even this would work if i could figure out how to make them all do it.
