Hi, I've been using ArizonaVideo99's CNC conversion kit for the Precision Matthews PM25MV mill, for a few months. It's been critical to my business of prototyping lab instruments, as I have trouble with turn around from local machining companies. While I could have purchased a turnkey CNC machine, I've learned a lot assembling the kit.

I've used 283 oz.in. closed loop stepper motors from Leadshine on all three axes. They have plenty of power and have a servo PID that increases current as needed to maintain position. LinuxCNC is the controller and the Pico Systems Universal Stepper Controller is the pulse generator. I've made a video to demonstrate the backlash and feedrates. To demonstrate available power, we track the following error from the servo loop while loading the head with additional weight.

Thank you
