    Post CNC communication

Im a newbie here but here's my question. I have a laptop that I use a DNC program to communicate with our Mits FX10. Been working great. I just added a Haas VF3 machine and decided to order new communication cables with USB adapters. I cant get this to communicate. I've set the com ports correctly (I believe) and still not communicating with the EDM (haven't tried VMC yet). Now in th midst of this my operator tells me he broke a pin in the 9 pin port so I cant use the 9 pin connector anymore. I have a new laptop coming but really want to be able to communicate via USB . The DNC software that I use is IWorkshop CNC file transfer. Anyone use this DNC program? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Re: CNC communication

Sounds like you need to troubleshoot every single part of this system. Does the USB adapter work? Can you push/pull through it using another application like HyperTerminal? Once you prove it works you need to get your application working with it. Contact the DNC software support department.
