All the original Dmm system were made in Canada, all the R&D and new Development work and Testing is done in Canada, they have there own manufacturing company in China, there operation is similar to most modern company's, except they own and operate there own manufacturing plant

There quality and service, you will have a hard time finding better, and what you get for the price, your next option would be Yaskawa

From what I've seen, if you open a plant in China and keep a close eye on it and don't let it slip, they are capable manufacturing everything to spec. I think given an option however, the foremen will cut whatever corners they can find, from using incorrect materials to salvaged electrical components and overwhelming the labor force and loosening quality standards.

I've seen a couple items that used to be made in Japan that are now made in China--for that Japanese company--and to me, they are indistinguishable.
