Hello all. We are a job shop looking to buy another WEDM to complement our Charmilles Robofil 290. We've had the 290 since new in 1998. The work we mainly do 1-12 pcs qty's, Ra .4 Rz 3 +- .0002" .005mm work, often 1" (25mm) to 2" (50mm) cutting height. Tool steel. I really use the automation the 290 offers on weekend/ night burns.
Really happy with the old 290 here. Could really use better accuracy on vertically interrupted cuts ( side hole for example ).
Is the GF CUT E 350 a good machine? I believe the table moves and not the heads. Does this cause a noticeable accuracy problem?
Is the E 350 reliable?
The CUT P 350 has a moving head design, spark track, and iWire to reduce consumption. Looks good on paper. Is the 350 P worth the extra cost?

Also open to other makes and models. Really just looking for a mid-level all around machine, that is fast to setup, and good at all but the finest work.

I would love to hear any of your thoughts.
