Hi all,

We have an Alcoa plant that is within a half hour of our location and has been our #2 customer for many years now. This plant location came very close to closing at the end of last year and we are trying to prepare for what could be the inevitable. Even with Alcoa as a customer we still see many ups and downs due to our #1 customer being involved heavily with the oil and natural gas industry. So our intentions are to try and find some independent sales reps which would try and get us in the doors of some new companies. We are a machine shop/job shop with multiple CNC mills, lathes, and a couple of mill/turns, and then many other supporting machines for secondary operations.

We are looking for Independent Sales Representatives, that would be representing our company and working to get new RFQ opportunities. There will not be a major need for knowing exactly what our machines do, but should have an idea of what a machine shop does to serve its customers. Compensation to the reps would be commission based, and once a new customer is created, that customer would be commissioned on every order to follow whether going through the sales rep or directly through us. I would rather not say the commission on the forum but discuss in person if interested.

Ideas for suitable reps would be:
- tooling distributors
- machine distributors
- retirees from manufacturing companies that are able to contact within the facilities they used to work for or companies you dealt with in the past
- material vendors
- ect...

Thanks,
Chad Ashley
