Hello,

I installed Solidcam 2016 SP0 and I have next problems:

1.When generate multiple split operations, it generate: filename-1-1, filename-1-2, and so on, untill now it was filename-1, filename-2, and so on
2.Limited filename lenght, I also modiified the PRC file with max_g_name_lenght=0 and still not works.

Anybody have this problem?
How can I resolve this?

Update to SP2 it's better . And you have an option of using the split name as file name ! Just go through the settings

I've allready made this checks and split name as file name is disabled.
I think is a bug of SP0.
I will try SP2 and see if the problem is solved.

Sp0 has a lot more bugs too it's safe to update to sp2

Hello,

I installed SolidCam 2016 SP2HF3, and having not this problem anymore.
What I can not resolve is that when I generate the g-code, the name of the codument is without spaces.
What can I do to resolve this problem, because I can have g-code file with info in name like - 123 with clamping on 2mm - gcode name is 123withclampingon2mm.
I also have:
max_g_name_lenght = 0 in PRP under ;Internal params
Even if I generate a splited operations even if I generate one operation I have same problem.

Anybody with sollution?

Found the solution with the spaces in name, in machine option(VMID file) in tab Working Style, at Gcode Output is a setting with Allow Spaces in Gcode File nad modyfied to YES.
The problem is another one, after changing this setting, the partname in splitted files is again ti filename-1-1; filaneme-1-2 instead filename-1, filename-2.

Anybody with solution for this?
Even if I put back No to that setting the problem is not solved!

Anything else?

SOLVED!!!
At the begining of the operations, i added "Machine Setup", and now everything is working good!

Just for your info

In solidcam2016 machine setup also affects your Gcode generation. Especially if you are using a 4-axis or more . You need to add machine setup in every coordinate if you add a machine setup in the beginning if not the Gcodes will be produced depends on first machine setup.
