    stepper setup, Electrical noise ?

    Hello guys,

    Do you know off the setup off a nema 34brush servo next to
    a nema 23 stepper,
    (about 3 inch distance)
    will create some sort off electrical noise, would/could it be possible to shield this setup in some sort off way?

    Some advice will be nice !

    regards,

    Roy.

    Imho, if you shield the encoder cabling of the servo and if the stepper motor cables are in twisted pairs each phase, there should not be an issue, maybe keep the stepper and servo cables separate as well.

    nice to hear, it`s good for my design.

    Another question in relation to the one above then;

    If i use the mcg ID33003 with a gecko g320 at 75VDC and, max 15A peak for spindle control for the endmill, the servo will turn max.3000 rpm (geared up to 10000rpm)

    could the servo turn 3000 rpm for lets say runs off 1hour, or will the brushes die premature. ( for a hobbymill milling alu small diameter)

    Kind regards,

    Roy b.
