    Gecko 320x

My drives are failing the encoder test . I have the encoder and drives set to a line count of 500 could changing them to reading 250 on the drive and 250 on encoder have any effect ?

    gabe,

What kind of encoder are you using? Do you have an oscilloscope you can test the encoders with and see what they are outputting? The resolution would not affect the encoder test as long as you move the rotor enough to trigger a FAULT state. What exactly is the drive doing when you try to test it?

    Re: Gecko 320x

The encoder is a AMT 102.....The drive goes into fault when power is applied .When I turn motor shaft the fault light will not change .I have the error and reset pin jumped and a separate 5 volt dc supply connected to encoder. Could you tell me whats the best selection for the dip switch on the drive . I have 4 drives and motors all doing the same thing.
