    A lot have been having this same problem, you need the manual for the VFD drive then you will be able to set the VFD

    Did you check the whole contents of the DVD? If not there you should ask the seller. If you can't get the manual from the seller you should give negative feedback and demand some refund or send it back. It is horrible that those people keep selling these products without even a crappy simple manual.

    I have already checked what you posted, but that's not the VFD manual, it is just a bunch of pointless images with very little information. I mean the REAL manual. Why not ask the seller? Did you try that as well?

    I do have the VFD manual for this VFD, and I'm translating it now, so once I have it done, I will post the Parameter Settings, this will take me some time to complete, as some of it does not translate that well

    Please make share you state what the freq Hz motor you have and which voltage you are using please, I made the mistake of downloading the English version of the 6040 with the 1.5kw motor but its was for a 220volt motor I didn't catch it till it was too late, the English version doesn't have enough English to see that without really digging through the content. Thanks for your help though Chimera1960

    Also note: which computer connection USB/DB25
    And as I said earlier which voltage 110v/220v these parameters make a difference as too how you setup up your VFD parameters.

    Thanks in advance for your help Chimera1960. I have a 6040 with 400Hz, 1.5kW, 110V and a DB25 connector. I would appreciate the VFD settings for this configuration.

    koolkleptokidd

    This will get you started, there will be other adjustments needed, what size spindle motor do you have 800w or 1.5Kw

    D000=400

    D001=1 ( May be D000=0 by Default this will lock any Parameter Change )

    D002=400

    D003=400

    D004=220

    D009=400

    D010=100

    D011=10 ( Default=10 Adjustable Acceleration )

    D012=10 ( Default=10 Adjustable Deceleration )

    D031=0 ( Default=0 For Keypad use (1 ) for Remote Control )
    (D031 May need to be set to 4 D031=4 Depending how your Control is being used)

    D032=0 (Default May need to be set to 1 D032=1 Depending how your control is being used )

    D033=0 ( For Keypad Stop ( 1 ) If Remote Control is being used )

    D036=1

    Try the setting I have posted, they should get you going, we may have to adjust some others as well, the D001=1 has to be set first before you set any other parameters

    Re: 6040 cnc PRT-E1500W vfd settings.

    I bought a 3020 with 800W spindle last week and thanks to this thread I figured out how to get it working.
    The manual states only to change D032 to 1, which did not work when trying to control it from Mach3, the motor simply does not start even if the display shows the right values and I do hear a relay click in the controller.
    Setting D032 back to 0 solved the situation for me! I have not had to change any of the other values other than D001 to 1 to allow changes to be made.

    Anyway, just wanted to thank you for the info and figured I'd post this for future reference, because I'm sure everyone else going by the manual will run into the same problem and will most likely end up on Google and hopefully finding this thread

    Could you look at all your parameters well up to 40, and write them down, as koolkleptokidd is still not running, his spindle turns on, but will not get up to speed, it could be just one parameter that is not set correct, and from what you have set, we may be able to see what is wrong

    Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get a notification.

    Since I posted I found a little bug with my previous statement. It would control the RPM fine, but it would not turn on by itself unless I had turned it on manually on the controller. Discovered that the next time I used it... It would turn off simply by setting the rpm to 0.. Which was at least better than before when it would not be controlled by Mach3 at all
    With a little help from the supplier I've now got everything sorted and it both turns on and controls rpm from Mach3. Everything is working as intended, as far as I can tell.
    D032 is back to 1, and I had to change one setting in Mach3.

    Here are my current settings that work for me. I should add that my VFD is a PRT-E750, not a 1500.
    Code:
    0	50.00
    1	0
    2	00.00

    38	001
    39	000
    40	100.0
    I've also attached screenshots of my Mach3 settings.

    Hope this helps!

    They are the strangest VFD settings I have ever seen, to run a spindle like this, can you take a photo of your spindle, and do you have the full RPM range 6,000 to 24,000 RPM

    These are the settings it came with, except for D032. As far as I can tell it has the full range. I will add that it does take a while to get up to speed, I'd say close to 10 seconds to spin up to 20k from 0.
    The spindle is an 800W 65 mm watercooled one. Here's the ebay listing that has all the specs, it looks exactly as on the pictures.

    We are having the same issue snq! What setting in Mach3 did you change to overcome the problem with the D032?
