Does anyone have this? On routine non-heavy cuts the program will stop and give a tool imbalance 966 alarm. Only using 1/2 inch roughing mill at 1200 rpm, .125" depth, 50% engagement.
Standard Minimill-no high speed spindle.
Any ideas? There's scant little when I google it.

Next gen? I don't think so, took delivery last November.

A little hard to guess from here. What material are you cutting? If you change feed(dial it back) does it still error? What cutter make/model/flutes, and what kind of holder?

I've been playing with some high speed machining techniques, and the Haas machines seem to really do well. Much deeper axial cuts, much smaller radial cuts, high feed rates. Took a bunch of time out of jobs we'd been running for a while. If your geometry doesn't allow for this, n/a of course. (minimill2, super minimill, and VF2). Might make a difference if it's vibration related.
