    Variable current spindle

    good afternoon people
please, I'm wondering if there is any system variable related to power that the time is doing to machine the part.
my idea is to try to probe the face of a part on the machine (lathe cnc) with the very cutting tool, ie when the tool touched the face of the part would cause a little effort in the zone and then the face would be determined .
Anyone know if there is a variable so on the "efforts" of the zone or something ???
