    tool list from the machines

    Hi,
    i am Ronen, new here. i work as a cnc programmer and the factoey has 2 HAAS VF2 Mills, i need to know always which tools are currently in the machines but its hard to keep track of this..
    is there any way to export a file from the machine with all the tools info?

    There is some information about your tools in the offsets variables. Poke around in there to see if you can extrapolate the information you need. Getting that data out to a file will depend upon your control type. The next gen controls allow you to DPRNT variable data to a file but all the older controls can only DPRNT out the RS-232 port. You will likely need to look at MDC software for your control. Ask this question of the MDC software vendor.
