    setting limits

Hi I'm a newbie to cncs, When I set my limits to X0 & Y0 bottom left, and set z to top of material, my cnc thinks it's top right, I've tried everything I can find on youtube etc but it always thinks the left is right, I hope some one can explain in straight forward English, thanks eveyone ( Keith ).

Sounds like your machine is setup backwards.

    Re: setting limits

A simple test to verify that the machine will move in the appropriate direction would be to manually jog the machine. If you jog the machine to the left and it moves to the right your directional signals to the motors are reversed. Test all '3' axis to verify that they move correctly. If you find that the machine does indeed move opposite to the intended direction it's a simple software fix in your setup menu.

If you are using Mach3 motor direction can be changed withing the 'Homing/Soft Limits' screen.
