What lubricant are you guys using in the auto lube systems?
Looks like they need an oil not grease.

I don't know but I hope you find out because my machine will be here next week and I would like to know.
What I found out is not good.
Chinese pumps can only pump oil, not grease.
This is not really good for linear rail cars as oil will not travel upward when pumped.
Grease can be forced up but oil will drain.
The top set of bearings hold 99% of the weight and probably wont get any oil as lube is pumped into the middle of the car.
I am going to research finding a grease pump to put on it.
It looks like all the lines and Fittings can handle the grease just not the pump.
In the mean time, its manual greasing once a week.
This an and an anemic Z performance have been the only large issues I have run into.
X and Z were supposed have a top speed of 40m/m I have rapids running at 50 very smoothly.
Z only 15m/min Rapid. I will be doing a lot of drilling it is underwhelming to pull up after drilling.
No wiring diagram and wires not labeled were disappointing as well.
All in all I can put up with them all.
Closetguy, what is your machine? I ordered a ball screw Z on a 1325B... Mach3 control. Do you think i will have issues with a slow Z?
I will have to check machine brand but we have a Symantec controller.
I have not had time to fully set up the machine yet.
I have not trouble shot the Z issue yet.
It could be a number of things.
Hoping is something simple.
Thats Syntec controller
I put straight 30sae weight oil in mine. I've thought about adding some gear oil too to thicken it a little more.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm the twin of the other gfacer on cnczone...
They mostly (never say all!) use oil. My CNT had oil bearings on for a while (it's design made that a bit of a mess, changed back to grease, but actually just manually using oil now), and the system seems to work fine, getting oil to the top portion regardless of the gravity issues. The bearings with the most weight, on my machine and gfacer2's machine are both oriented so they would get oil both bearing runs, but regardless, the gantry bearings are not and it still works fine.
do you think straight 80-90 would work ok? I need to buy some oil.
Maybe, just buy some lighter too (like same as your car) and thin it down if needed.
