    Hard Disk stepper

    Hi.
I want to do some testing with salvaged stepper from a harddisk (samsung) wich has 4 wires. But I thought that 4 wire are bipolar steppers and those have 2 coils wich do not cross leads.
This stepper has the wires labeled as A, B, C and CT and Ive tested them with a digital ohm meter and get :
    A-B : 4 Ohm
    A-C : 4 Ohm
    A-CT : 2 Ohm
    B-C : 4 Ohm
    B-CT : 2 Ohm
    C-CT : 2 Ohm

Is this right for a bipolar stepper?

    Any coments on this motor?

Will this be a variable reluctance four windings motor?

Actualy it looks like a normal variable reluctance motor.

    Anyone uses those in projects?

The chip wich drives the stepper located on the HD is L6269.
I wonder if it is possible to use the driver and hook it up to the LPT somehow.
I am going to read the info on this L6269 on ST's http://www.st.com/stonline/books/ascii/docs/6626.htm
