    Add a 4th axis

I have a fanuc 0-MD ready for the 4th axis including 4th servo amplifier A06b-6079-h104. I do some reading and fourth axis does not seem to be plug and play. I don't really need full 4th ,indexer is sufficient, but all the electronics is already there to do full 4th i think. Does any 230v ac servo motor 4th axis can be used? and which prm have to be set?

    Re: Add a 4th axis

If you have the Operator manual for your machine it should state what motor and what parameters to set. At least my old 16mb control for my Robodrill Operator manual does. If its not in there look in the Servo Manual. It will list the servo amps and what motors work with them. You can find them on cncmanual.com.
