I'm curious what external threading tool holders and inserts folks are using with the OXA tool system that Tormach sells for RapidTurn. The kit that come with the deluxe version doesn't have a turning tool in it, and the smallest one on Tormach's website has a .5"X.5" shank as opposed to the 3/8" size of the tools that do come with it. And Tormach doesn't seem to offer inserts for the 1/2" tools that they sell.

I use this one, works great. I cut mostly 416 stainless steel.

I use the AR Warner tools as well as the Nikcole minisystem.

Here is the 3/8" AR Warner tool that uses a 32NV insert.

I use the 1/2" version.

If you mean grinding a HSS threading bit, that's certainly an option, even with my questionable grinding skills. But I'm more interested in the carbide tools, since just about everything else I'll be using is carbide.
