Sad and rogered.
New to cnc machining and love it.
Ok bought cheap and probably paying the price but hey ho.
Bought Colchester 2000l and its in top condition.
Used it for 6 weeks and got my head round basic programming and turned out 2 components which came out spot on.
Then
Had what I would call a gentle stuff into the work piece. It was aluminium and I had my hand on the stop button
but still stuffed it in about 5mm into the job before it came to a stop on the button.
Fired it up again and it was ok for about three days then Alarm 19 appeared on the fanuc a06b-6060-h007 board and the spindle no longer spins up but everything else is fine.
So googled a boatload and ended up at "excessive u phase current detection"
All connections are ok to the controller no loose cabling and is fairly clean.
Got told that it might just need the parameters reloading.........but can't seem to find those anywhere.
I switch the tiny test pin which sits above the led display to test and power up.
Hold all 4 buttons down to access "FFFFF"
Press mode then scroll up to fc22.
Press data set......and it shows........."good"
I then power off.
Reset the tiny test pin to run.
And then that's where it all stops. I just get alarm 19.
I cant scroll to install parameters. None of the buttons do any thing.
I don't even know if I have to do the parameters as it used to be all good.
When we first had the machining it had lost its memory cos the batterys had failed and a
guy came round and did something for a day...cost £550 and it was all good.
Now I am practical about this. shall I just blow more money or is this something I can sort myself because
I'm getting poor fast and I love fixing everything myself.
If there's anybody out there with Parameters for this 1990 machine that would be great.
If anybody can point me in a direction.... that would be fab
Rich
ps I will complete this forum..... as a lot of people get it fixed and vanish of forums and that doesn't help
the next poor sole.
