    jp-3163B v3.9

I have a SXCNC with the jp-3163B stepper motor driver. The y-axis output is making a "grinding" noise. I checked the cables and the stepper motors and they are working properly. I can take the x-axis cable and connect to the y-axis output and the problem follows the output. In other words, the x-axis makes the grinding noise. I hook the y-axis cable to the x-axis output, and the y-axis runs fine. I bought two of these routers. So I hooked up to the other controller and everything works fine. Could there be a voltage issue on the board for the y-axis output? Or another issue? All the settings on both machines are identical, dip switches and the software settings. Any help or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.

Just from your description of the problem and the steps you have gone through, sounds like a bad board to me.
