ADJUSTING FOR PLATING ALLOWANCES IN SOLID WORKS

    Hi ,

Is there any software or calculator that can automatically compensate for plating allowances so I can output a pre plate print ?

    Thanks in advance.

If you get lucky and the geometry cooperates you can add a INSERT -> FACE-> OFFSET-> Select all surfaces and check which side for the offset. Set up a configuration for this command and refer to that configuration in your drawings

Use a formula. For your thickness, do (X) + Plate, where "plate" is defined as a value in your functions sheet.
