Another power supply/toroidal wiring question... 230vac vs 115vac

So I have the following components on hand to build a power supply.

    Plitron 750VA model#107033201 dual 115VAC input with dual 50VAC output @ 7.5A (x1 transformer)
    Panasonic 100VDC 10,000uF capacitor (x2 capacitors) (Model EEGAA2A103FEM - Now discontinued)
IOR 35 Amp Single Phase 1400v rectifier 36MB140A (x3 rectifiers)
Plus the various bits and pieces most of us have lying around (wires, connectors, duct tape, etc).

On the transformer the eight leads are as follows -
Black White (pair 1 115vac Input)
Brown Orange (pair 2 115vac Input)
Red Yellow (pair 1 50vac output)
Blue Gray (pair 2 50vac output)

If I am correct, the transformer is wired and provides 50vac outputs, once rectified this will generate roughly 70.7 volts (50 x 1.414) available to the capacitors. The question becomes, can I wire it at 230vac by tying the white and brown wires to each other and the black and brown to each of the 115vac legs? If so, that would bring the voltage at the rectifier to 100v input and 141.4 volts output (which would require difference capacitors if I am correct)? Or am I wrong and the output would remain at 50 vac from the transformer to the rectifier?

My goal is 70vdc at any amperage above 5amps total per output leg (e.g. 10 amps total would be perfect).

If anyone has any input, I would appreciate it. Electrical stuff is not my area of expertise, but I have a rudimentary grasp of the issues. I would also like to incorporate a bleed resistor into the power supply. Any suggestions and shared wisdom would be tremendously helpful.

If you wire the primary windings in series (white and brown tied together, black and orange connected to 230VAC), the voltage on the secondary windings will remain 50VAC.
