stepper/driver/powersupply selection critique for my plan to build a DIY 5x10 CNC plasma table?

I am using the eagleplasma 3 axis, belt drive as inspiration (see pic). The gantry will weigh about40lbs +/-

Eagle's owner, Al,is a very capable electronics technician and he knows how to get the 6560 towork well; however, I am no pro, so I am planning to mitigate some risk andutilize different drivers.

What do you think of the following components for my build:

Drivers:
These TB6600 drivers

Steppers:
Wantai Nema23 4-wire, Stepper Motor270oz-in, 3A 57BYGH627
Or
Longs Nema 23 4-wire Stepper Motor270oz-in, 3A 23HS8430
Or
CircuitSpecialists Nema 23 6-wire Stepper Motor 291oz-in, 3A, 57BYGH405A

Considering I will use a pulley in the shaft how critical is a "D" shaft? All of the above are round, but if NEEDED, I will select a D.

Breakout Board:
This 5-axis Breakout Board

Power supply:
Elpac MSMP25036D Open-frame PowerSupply 36V-7A 250W
Or
400W 36V 11A AC to DC Single OutputSwitching Power Supply For LED Strip Light
Or
If I find a <$5Capacitor and bridge rectifier, I will make a power supply out of an oldmicrowave I have.

Additional thoughts:

I had considered the542 drivers; however, with the Eagle getting good results from the 6560, I justwant to overcome my concern with the 6560's unforgiving habit of going poof;and, at $8 per driver the TB6600 sounds much more appealing than $25 per M542.Bonus: the 6600s and breakout board at $30 total/delivered will be cheaper thanthe 6560 3-axis.

I think Eagle usesthe 6-wire stepper.

Timing Belt: I amplanning to use an xl10 10mm wide 5.08 pitch steel core, ply belt I found for$18 for 10 meters of it, unless I can find a cheaper option that will work forthe 40lb gantry.

My goal is go ascheap as possible, and still be functionally cutting steel up quickly andaccurately compared to what I do now, SLOW with my plasma cutter by hand andusing angle grinders. MY plasma cutter is a Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52.

I did read theentire thread on the TB6600 and it's problems, needs for mods to get fullperformance. However, one chap mentioned that for him, he only needed 2.8Amps,and for that, he did not need the mods. I assume from the steppers I amconsidering, I am in the same boat, since they are 3 Amp steppers.

Thank you for youradvice.
