    60 Watts Laser

Hi I get a new laser machine, to be more precise is this laser

700 x 500mm 60W CO2 Laser Engraver Engraving Cutting Machine With Rotary Axis | eBay

but the only thing I can do is engrave I tried the following setup:
    Min 30% Max 85% Speed 20
    Min 30% Max 90% Speed 10
    Min 30% Max 100% Speed 2

Also today 29/12/16 I spend all day with the alignments of the mirrors but nothing I can't cut MDF of 1/8 inch like I said before is a Laser machine of 60 Watts anyone can help me; I almost forget I'm using RDWorks for "cutting" and engrave

    Thanks

I have a 60w machine and I use 55% power with 12mm movement speed at 25 degrees and mine can easily cut 1/8" mdf or plywood.

You commented on the mirrors, Are the mirrors aligned all the way to the work piece .

Have you got the table height set correctly? it will hardly cut butter if the table height/focal length is wrong and it looks like you have a load of adjustment on the table height.

There are good video's on Youtube explaning focal length and checking that on each machine.

    Re: 60 Watts Laser

    Before start check:
Go to left top corner, put piece of paper (2x2" will do) on table and test pulse. Next go to all other corners and center - and do same.

Select most promising area and prepare to do cut test there.
To test cut use for example small square and circle inside, say 10x10mm.
Check distance focus (usually it is ~20mm from the nozzle at mentioned machine). You can test it as well 2mm lower and 2 mm higher from 20mm, so 18mm and 22mm (in case lens is upside-down).

Try to use on 3mm MDF
    Speed 8mm/s
    Min power 60%
    Max power 65%

You should fit mA meter to do not over-current your tube, but for one or two tests this values should be not too high in my opinion.

    Wrong.
1000 mm SHOULD be around 50W but new models are told to be 60W.

My old 40w was 720mm. My new 50w is 840mm.
The 60w is 1200 but at a smaller diameter. It seem length and diameter contribute to power
