    Ball screw load data

    Hello

I am looking for help to understand Ball Screw Load data ..

I'm upgrading milling machine which has a 3205 Ball screw .

Examination of the data of 25 mm diameter screws with a pitch of 6 mm,

Compared to 3205 Ball screw, I find that 2506 ball screw is better in terms of Static and dynamic data .

    What these figures mean?

    Thanks

    Re: Ball screw load data

static and dynamic load is in kilograms.

the 2506 ballscrew uses larger balls, that's why it has a higher static load rating.

    Thanks

So what are the differences and benefits of using the 3205 ?

What benefit of using the large diameter?

    The main question is

    Can I use 2506 instead of 3205 ?

What will be the differences ?

32mm diameter is stiffer so more wear if the axis and ball nut not aligned. 25mm has larger balls so perhaps longer life when debris gets into the nut.

32mm has much higher critical speed.

The stiffness of the ball nut is similar in both cases but the 32mm screw is stiffer. So if you have a long screw that may be significant.

32mm screw has higher critical speed but 25mm screw has 20% more lead, so max axis velocity is probably similar
