    "New" A50 faults

    I have just acquired an A50 which on power up displays the following fault codes : 1031, 1001, 701. Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

    Are you sure its an A50 ?????????

    1001 Spindle Monitor Off When Commanded
    This indicates that there is a voltage on the spindle motor when the CNC is not
    commanding any spindle movement.

    1031 Spindle Motor Fan Overload

    701 Fan overheat The fan on top of the cabinet for the control unit is overheated

    Hi Darren,

    It is in fact a Tornado 80. (misled by seller !)

    I have looked at the Spindle amplifier module. The fan is going round but looks pretty dirty so will take it out and clean it. Same with the fan on the spindle motor.
