An old machine with Fanuc 11M system is creating problems with Optical fiber interface. Cable, connector or interface card may be problematic. Any details of the interface to troubleshoot the problem such as wavelength of transmission etc in this case.

I checked optical fiber by shining the torch to one side and observed light point brightness from another side. comparing two channels may reveal the problem in fiber

I was thinking more on terms of replacing the cable & connector with our own. Hence the wavelength query!

Why do you think the problem is in optic system? I've faced several times with errors, connected with optic system and only one time the problem was in cable. Another times the problem was in position modules (PMC).

because its damaged. Can't repair it. Have to order another one. Have bundle of fiber optic lying around. could easily make with own connector if details are known.
