DYI Precision Heavy Duty CNC Router

This is my new build that took me one year to complete. It is solid and weighs over 350 lbs. It works beautifully and it is repeatable within +- 0.02mm and accurate within the same. I am using Mach3 with a C10 bob, digital stepper motors, 1.5W 110V liquid cooled spindle which works great. I also have a xbox 360 controller, and a z touch probe/plate operational. I cut my first carbon fiber sheet last week. Great feeling of satisfaction. I am now considering using a C6 spindle control and a charge pump. I know I need a charge pump, for safety so I will be looking into that. For now I have the spindle cooled with a cheap fish tank pump, but as soon as I make some mounts I will install a closed system PC CPU radiator. Again very happy with the machine.

In my journey to make this machine I have learned a ton of things, which I never thought I would when I first started. I received quite a bit of help, so now I am here to pay back what was offered to me. If you have any questions for this built, or any other in regards to building a table top CNC machine let me know and I will do my best to answer it.

You almost lost your part up the vacuum hose.

It's always fun when that happens.

Turn your volume down before you click this: (skip to 0:20, it's supposed to do it automatically, but I guess that's not working)

Nice!. Loud! You warned me. That is a pretty large work volume. Your dust shoe works well.

I actually started to engrave metal now. The machine is so accurate on the z that I can control 0.002" or less. I engraved a Zippo lighter for a family member with their picture on it. I used an JPG picture, removed the background with Photoshop, used Inkscape to create vector graphics, and then into Lazycam to create Gcode, and then cut it with Mach3. I was surprised that it worked.
