    FUSION-360 X,Y,Z

    IF I`AM USEING THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF MY CNC MACHINE WERE WOULD MY.....Attachment 348846 X,Y,Z ......BE ON MY CAM SETUP SO I CAN TELL MACH-3

    The picture you provided seems to indicate you are using the Lower Left corner as 0,0 for X,Y. This is the standard setup for almost all CAMs. What is your issue?

    You set the zero position in CAM the same as you would on the actual part in the machine. You have to account for any stock that is to be removed during machining. This can be done in CAM or at the part. For example if you are going to remove 0.050" from the top of the part then you can either define the stock size larger in CAM, or when you zero the machine set the top of the part as +0.050". same goes for any material removed from X and Y. I generally prefer to define the stock size in Cam because it insures that rapid moves will be clear of the part since the CAM knows the defined stock size.
